Copiah Co. deputy involved in head-on collision

CRYSTAL SPRINGS, MS (WLBT) – It was a close call for a Copiah County Sheriff's deputy. He walked away from a bad wreck Tuesday morning.

According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Pat Harrison Road in Crystal Springs around 8:30 a.m. That's near Crystal Springs Middle School.

The deputy and the driver of a Chrysler 300 collided head-on.

The unidentified woman was treated at a local hospital and released.

The deputy was taken to the hospital to be checked out. He was also released.
