JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Jackson detectives have recovered thousands of dollars worth of stolen merchandise. The items were stolen from various storage units in the metro area. The stolen property ranged from valuable snap on tool kits and welding equipment to 26 inch wheels. A tip from a confidential informant paid off.

Jackson detectives seized the merchandise from a storage unit on Northside Drive Wednesday night. Victims of the theft identified some of the merchandise as theirs Thursday afternoon. But much more has not been identified by the rightful owners.

Officer Joseph Daughtry said, "Some merchandise has been recovered, that we have already notified the owner. But we need your help as far as identifying some of the other stolen merchandise that we have not been able to put with the owner."

The stolen goods were valued at $40,000. No one has been arrested. The investigation is ongoing. If you can help Jackson Police, call 601-960-2710.
