CHUNKY, MS (WLBT) - An animal cruelty investigation led to a disturbing discovery in Chunky.
"A lot of them looked skinny. A lot of them they had cuts and scars on their eyes and face. And walking around I noticed there wasn't any fresh water for the horses to be drinking because all of his water buckets or barrels had gun shot holes through them," said Coyote Hills Stables employee, Tammy Woods.
Woods was looking into accusations that horses are being mistreated and living in poor conditions there.
The employee claims she found eleven horse skulls with gunshot wounds and she is pressing charges.
The owner says deer hunters had shot them.
Woods was arrested for trespassing when she went to photograph the conditions.
The Neshoba County Sheriff's Department is investigating this case.
