Vicksburg escapee is captured in Chicago

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS (WLBT) - An man who escaped from a Vicksburg jail last week is arrested Monday.

Leon Bryant was captured by U.S. Marshals on the west side of Chicago.

Bryant, a member of the "Vice Lords Gang, was arrested Monday morning after escaping from the Warren County Detention Center Thursday and brutally assaulting a jailer.

Bryant was charged with escape and assault on a law enforcement officer.
