Arrest made in deadly, double shooting

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Jackson police made an arrest in the capital city's latest homicide Tuesday.

Around 9 p.m., 31-year-old Hardell Cornelius was captured. He was wanted in Sunday morning's double shooting that killed 21-year-old Brittany Cheeks and injured Cornelius's ex-girlfriend, 39-year-old Pammy Taylor.

The shooting happened at an apartment on West Highland Drive.

Cornelius is charged with murder and aggravated assault.
