Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas to visit Ole Miss

OXFORD, MS (WLBT)- A United State Supreme Court Justice will be in Oxford next spring to help dedicate the new law school building at Ole Miss.

Law school Dean Samuel Davis announced Thursday that Associate Justice Clarence Thomas accepted an invitation to speak at the dedication.

Thomas has served on the court since 1991 and was the secondAafrican American to be named to the court. The new law school building is set to open in January 2011. It will be named for longtime law professor Robert Khayat, who retired as the university's chancellor last year.
