CLINTON, MS (WLBT) - Families had an eggstra-special time Sunday at the annual Easter Egg Hunt and Family Day in Clinton.
Hundreds turned out at Traceway Park on Northside Drive this afternoon. The event featured games, prizes, refreshments and of course egg hunts for children pre-school to 3rd grade.
The little ones also got a chance to have their picture take with the Easter bunny. It's sponsored by the Junior Auxiliary of Clinton and Clinton Parks and Recreation. Organizers say it's a great family event.
"We want to give the children and families of Clinton an opportunity to get together and celebrate this holiday of Easter and the best way to do that is in the tradition of an Easter egg hunt," said Ramona Pevey, president of the Junior Auxiliary of Clinton.
"It is something that everybody can enjoy even though the hunt only goes to the second grade...you can still have the whole family out and enjoy the activities," added Chandra Fontenot, special services coordinator with Clinton Parks and Recreations.
The family friendly event was free.
