JACKSON, MS (WLBT)- New information about a gruesome discovery made Friday.
An autopsy has been completed on the burned body found in west Jackson.
Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham Stewart says the victim is a black female possibly in her 50's. The autopsy revealed the woman suffered two stab wounds to her neck. She still has not been identified.
Grisham Stewart says the body, burned beyond recognition, was discovered shortly before 2 p.m. Friday afternoon at the end of Bradley Street near Cedar Lawn Cemetery.
The coroner says her body had been lying on the side of the road for about two days.
