Three arrested in toddler hit and run

RICHLAND, MS (WLBT) - Police have arrested three people in connection with a hit-and-run that injured a toddler Monday morning.

It happened just before 11 in front of 102 Parkdale Circle, in Richland. The 2-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle and left lying in the road.

The child suffered broken ribs and some other injuries which are not life-threatening. He is expected to make a full recovery.

Forty-one-year-old Ronald Stern is charged with aggravated assault with a vehicle. Twenty-one-year-old Kiara Franklin and Twenty-year-old Jessica Laster are charged with felony child neglect.
