Hattiesburg, Miss. - The University of Southern Mississippi will have a grand birthday celebration Tuesday to commemorate the school's centennial anniversary.
Gov. Haley Barbour, Lt. Gov. Phil Bryant and other state dignitaries are expected to attend Tuesday's ceremonies.
The day will begin with a Founder's Day program at the Administration Building.
"I think they can expect excitement." said Dr. Aubrey K. Lucas, President Emeritus, University of Southern Mississippi.
"I think just to come on the campus and to even if you don't attend all of those activities, just peep in on some of them and see what's going on, but there's going to be a good feeling on campus and the weather is going to be beautiful." said Dr. Lucas.
The university will also take a "100" formation photo to commemorate Tuesday's celebration.
