JPS students perform for All-City Music Festival

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - It was the culmination of two days of intensive rehearsals for Jackson Public Schools annual All-City Music Festival.

Four-hundred fifty students from Jackson Public Schools divided into four orchestras to entertain proud family, friends and JPS educators.

"This is a wonderful experience for my children. They have the opportunity to play with other students across the district and it helps them to enhance their skills," said parent Brunetta Sarpong

The event is a collaboration between the education department of the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra and JPS and it was open and free to the public.
