23 year old arrested after high speed chase

ATTALA COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - A 23 year old was arrested after leading the Attala County Sheriff's Department on a high speed chase.

Marcus Riley is charged with suspended license and felony fleeing.

The chase went from Old Vaiden Road to Highway 35 North after authorities tried to make a routine traffic stop.

Authorities said Riley reached speeds of 110 miles an hour.

He crashed through a gate and into a wooded area before the chase ended in Carroll County.
