Pearl couple pleads guilty to child neglect - MSNewsNow.com - Jackson, MS
PEARL, MS (WLBT) - Two people pleaded guilty to misdemeanor child neglect.
Judge Dewey Miller fined them $650.00 with $250.00 suspended. He also suspended jail time.
Pearl Police had been called to a house on Shelton Street Tuesday.
Authorities removed 12 cats and one dog from the house, which was deemed "unfit for human occupancy" by the City of Pearl.
30-year-old Christopher and 26-year-old Carrie Poe also must undergo a mental examination.
Their children, under 12 are in the custody of the Department of Human Services.
