Teen killed in 18-wheeler accident

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - A traffic accident on Interstate 55 at Savanna Street in Jackson has killed one teen and sent two others to the hospital.

The accident occurred around 2:15 Thursday afternoon when a Honda Civic rear-ended an 18-wheeler flatbed.

The driver, 18-year-old Andrew Huff was pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner.  The passengers, 18-year-old Jonathan Brown and 19-year old Joshua Neal Pettigrew, were transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
