Shooting sends man to the hospital, another to jail

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - An argument in Jackson ends with gunfire, sending one man to the hospital and another to jail.

Officers responded to a house at 1204 Ridgeway Street around 2:30 Thursday afternoon. They discovered a man had been shot in the stomach.

Jackson police took a 58-year-old man into custody.

The victim was taken immediately into surgery at a local hospital.

Police did not release the names of either man.

No word on what charges the shooter could face or what sparked the argument.
