JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - For Heaven's Cakes bakery has only been open on Old Canton Road for seven months and 38 year old Dani Turk already has quite a following.

"her pastries are a perfect combo of beauty and delicious wrapped into one dessert," said repeat customer Gwenetta Tatum.

"I've never seen anything she did or have ever tasted anything she did that wasn't wonderful," said happy customer Bea Gotthelf.

About the time Turk was opening her dream business, she received a dream chance to go to New York to appear on The Food Network.  On a whim she entered online for the Ultimate Recipe Showdown with a spin off of her favorite sandwich.

"I turned the muffaletta into my version of it burger wise," said Turk.

She was chosen and then had to think up a recipe for the speed round.  She created a Greek inspired burger.

"I always think when you're watching those shows, what's wrong with those people?  They can't cook 4 hamburgers in 30 minutes?  But it really is a lot harder than it looks when you're actually doing it," said Turk.

She was the only woman competing against three men.  Did Turk's nerves get the best of her?

"One of the judges actually commented I had nerves of steal or something along those lines. I think he just didn't have a clue what I was doing," laughed Turk.

She can not tell us if she won the $25,000 grand prize. Folks will have to tune in Sunday at 8:00 p.m. to see if her burgers flipped or flopped.  Either way she said she would do it all again.

"I'm hoping I would be able to go again if they have a season 4. I look forward to it if they do," said Turk.
