Fundraiser held to aide Tougaloo student's scholarships - MSNewsNow.com - Jackson, MS
JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Raising scholarship money for Tougaloo college students was the goal of Saturday night's event at the Jackson Medical Mall.
The eight annual Two Rivers Gala featured the legendary R&B The Whispers. Live music from Vick Allen and Tonya Youngblood also kept the crowd moving.
More than 90% of students who attend Tougaloo receive some sort of financial aid.
To date the event has raised approximately $500,000 dollars for deserving students.
