Man's trial set for killing brother-in-law

PETAL, MS (WLBT) - A Petal man is scheduled to go on trial for murder Wednesday in Forrest County Circuit Court.

Daniel Koehler is charged with murder in the stabbing death of his brother-in-law, 38-year-old Christopher Mason. Mason's death was the first homicide in Petal in about ten years.

Officials say Koehler and Mason allegedly had a physical altercation as a result of a domestic dispute at their home on November 4.

Mason had multiple stab wounds to his upper torso.
