Terrico White To Enter NBA Draft

Ole Miss sophomore guard Terrico White has decided to enter his name in the upcoming NBA draft, Rebel head coach Andy Kennedy announced Friday afternoon.

White will not hire an agent, and will therefore be eligible to return to ole miss next season if he withdraws his name from the draft by the may 8 deadline.

"I have decided to enter the NBA draft and explore the possibilities that are out there for me as a player," said White, who averaged 15.1 points and 4.6 rebounds per game this season.

"I want to go through the process to see where I could be drafted, but I'm not hiring an agent, so I can return to Ole Miss for my junior season." "My staff and I fully support Terrico as he is going through this process," Kennedy said.

"We encouraged him to utilize this process in hopes of him gaining valuable insight and experience."

A 6-foot-5 guard from Memphis, Tenn., White burst onto the scene his rookie season en route to SEC freshman of the year and freshman all-america honors.

He improved his scoring from 13.7 points per game that season to 15.1 this year and also upped his rebounding average from 3.4 to 4.6. He currently has 955 career points in two seasons.
