JPD releases weekend crime stats

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) – The numbers are in at the Jackson Police Department following a special crime suppression operation this past weekend.

On Friday and Saturday, JPD along with help from other local law enforcement agencies cracked down on crime sensitive areas in the capital city.

Here are the results:

Misdemeanor Arrest = 188
Felony Arrests = 13
Traffic Citations = 566
DUI Arrests = 29
Weapons Seizures = 2
Currency Seizures = $2,275.00
Total Arrests = 201
