JACKSON, MS (WLBT) – An armed robbery suspect who managed to escape from police is back in custody.
Shortly after 2 a.m. Monday morning, JPD officers captured 24-year-old Pierre Johnson at his home on Cedars of Lebanon Drive in north Jackson.
Workers at the Popeye's restaurant on I-55 said Johnson held up the business Sunday morning.
He was taken to police headquarters for questioning.
Police say Johnson ran from the interview room and left the building.
Johnson is being held at the Hinds County Adult Detention Center.
He's charged with armed robbery of a business, being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and escape.
