2 confirmed to Jackson school board - MSNewsNow.com - Jackson, MS
JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Two new school board members were confirmed Tuesday by the Jackson City Council.
Monica Gilmore-Love was confirmed with a 4-1 vote and Dr. Otha Burton was confirmed with a 3-2 vote by the council.
Both women were nominated for their positions by Mayor Harvey Johnson.
The council will also hold confirmation hearings for a new director of administration and a new public works director.
