School bus accident sends several to the hospital - MSNewsNow.com - Jackson, MS
HAZELHURST, MS (WLBT) - A school bus fender-bender sent several children to the hospital with minor injuries Thursday morning.
35 children were inside the Hazlehurst city school bus.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol said the accident occurred around 7:20 a.m. on Highway 28 just outside the city limits.
A car hit the bus from behind after the bus stopped abruptly to pick up a child.
Most of the children went on to school.
The driver of the car and its passenger were also taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
