PUCKETT, MS (WLBT) - A diesel spill clean up on Highway 13 near Puckett could keep the roadway closed until Tuesday.

According to MDOT, the road is contaminated and could take 36 to 48 hours for gas removal.

Around 8 a.m. Sunday morning a tanker truck carrying gasoline flipped causing 9,000 gallons to empty onto the road. It's located near the Smith and Rankin County line.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol blocked off access within a one mile radius. Clean up crews are still on site.

No injuries have been reported at this time.
