WALTHALL COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - A single car accident turned deadly for a Tylertown football player in Walthall County.
The sheriff's department confirms three teenagers were traveling to school on Knoxo Road just east of Tylertown.
Their vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree.
The driver, 18-year-old Trevonta Magee, was in stable condition Tuesday night at UMC in Jackson.
The passenger in the front seat, 16-year-old Quincy Conerly, was taken to Forrest General in Hattiesburg by helicopter where he underwent emergency surgery.
He died from his injuries.
Quendarius Conerly was also taken to Forrest General with non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the accident is unknown at this time.
