JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - The state Department of Employment Security says Mississippi's unemployment rate was 11.1 percent in March.
That's down from 12.1 percent in February.
The national rate was 10.2 percent for March.
Rankin County had the lowest rate in the state at 7.1 percent, while Noxubee County had the highest at 22.4 percent.
The MDES said Wednesday that 69 of the 82 counties had double-digit unemployment with four counties above 21 percent.
