Mission Mississippi hosts prayer luncheon

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Mayors from across the state gathered in Jackson Thursday for the Mississippi Mayors' Prayer Luncheon.

The event was hosted by Mission Mississippi at the Jackson Convention Complex downtown.

Ole miss chancellor Doctor Dan Jones was the keynote speaker.

The event brings together christians from different racial backgrounds to pray for the state's mayors, businesses and other government entities.

WLBT's vice president and general manager Dan Modisett co-chaired the luncheon and shared a video presentation on history of WLBT and racial diversity.
