RANKIN COUNTY (WLBT) - Rankin County authorities are in the process of arresting three more people for being accessories after the fact in Richard Barrett's murder.
Two helped the suspect and one lied to the Sheriff's department about what he know about the case while the investigation was underway.
Two have been charged and a third will be charged later today.
Twenty-two year old Vincent McGee had already been charged with Barrett's murder. He was arrested Thursday afternoon.
McGee was released from Parchman in February, after serving five years for grand larceny, and assaulting two Rankin County officers.
Barrett's body was found Thursday morning in his burned-out home. He had been beaten, stabbed and set on fire.
The house is located at 227 Petros Road, in rural Rankin County, about two miles north of the Monterrey community.
