Guardsmen deployed to assist tornado recovery

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - The Mississippi National Guard has deployed approximately 40 Guardsmen in Yazoo City to assist local authorities in the aftermath.

Maj. Christian Patterson said the Guardsmen will provide support to local law enforcement and also aviation assistance to help with damage assessments.
