Jackson lawyer nominated to federal post

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Jackson Attorney Carlton Reeves has been nominated to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi.

Reeves is a Yazoo City native and a graduate of Jackson State University and the University of Virginia School of Law.

According to the website for Mississippi Litigation Review and Commentary, after a year and a half, Reeves was nominated by President Barack Obama for the post.
