BROOKHAVEN, MS (WLBT) - Two men have been arrested in the shooting and robbery of an elderly Brookhaven woman.

Brookhaven police said Eva Pullen is recovering in a Jackson hospital after being shot multiple times last Saturday during a holdup.

Assistant Police Chief Nolan Jones said the 85-year-old was approached by two men as she left a downtown store.

Jones said they demanded her purse and after Pullen gave it to them, one of the men opened fire.

She was shot four times at close range while sitting in her car.

Two brothers have been arrested.

Twenty one year old Quincy L. Walker and 22-year old David D. Walker, both of Brookhaven, are charged with the crime.

Investigators said shortly after the armed robbery, Quincy Walker was found in a nearby apartment with Pullen's purse and other items.

Both are charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault and are being held at the Lincoln County Detention Center.
