JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - A Jackson man involved in a beating death outside a church five years ago was found not guilty Wednesday.
Harry Wilson was facing life in prison for depraved heart murder.
Wilson and two others were charged with the murder of 46-year-old Donald Middleton.
Police said Middleton was trying to break into a church on Powers Avenue in 2005.
Wilson and two friends said they were trying to stop the break-in when a fight broke out.
Middleton's mother and Wilson's family left the courtroom in tears saying it's time to move on with their lives.
