JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - A Jackson woman is behind bars facing charges in connection to the death of a personal care home resident.

21-year-old Eugenia Johnson was arrested Wednesday after being indicted by a Hinds County grand jury for culpable manslaughter and felony abuse of a vulnerable adult.

Johnson was charged in the death of Janice Hollins on January 2nd.

Hollins was living in a personal care home in which Johnson worked.

The indictment alleged Johnson caused the hypothermia that killed Hollins.

The abuse charge was related to another victim who lived at the same home.
