BYRAM, MS (WLBT) - A tribute to fallen heroes continued Tuesday at the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics headquarters in Byram.
The ceremony paid tribute to all MBN agents who lost their lives either in the line of duty or of natural causes.
One woman paid homage to her father who served as the Bureau of Narcotics director for four years in the 1980s.
He died last fall of natural causes.
"For the families that they're not forgotten, that they made a difference. And these people that are recognizing them are still out there fighting the same battles that they did," said Dee Walsh, who lost her father in November.
"The parents, the spouses, the surviving children - it's very important to them that the service of their loved one is remembered," said Marshall Fisher, director of MBN.
This is the 26th year MBN has held this memorial service.
