More than two decades after the Legislature's approval, the Mississippi fallen officers memorial is expected to be completed next month.
The memorial will stand in the state capitol pedestrian mall near the new state Supreme Court building.
The building is located downtown between George and High streets.
The six etched-stone panels will bear the names of more than 200 officers from across the state who lost their lives in the line of duty.
The final push for the project came from a bond bill last year which was supported by Lieutenant Governor, Phil Bryant.
The bill allotted $250,000 to complete the memorial.
