GULF COAST, MS (WLBT) - Fishermen can now receive up to two million dollars in loans for their businesses affected by the Gulf of Mexico oil spill.

The U.S. Small Business Administration or S.B.A. is providing financial recovery to 11 South Mississippi counties to help fishing-related operations.

The loans are available to businesses in coastal counties Hancock, Harrison and Jackson.

Governor Haley Barbour said Friday S.B.A. is offering the loans at a four-percent interest rate.

The application deadline is February 14, 2011.
