JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Jackson police are still looking for clues in an unsolved violent robbery and shooting.

On February 19, 2010, a female clerk was shot multiple times at the Colonial Mart Shell Gas Station.

Lorena Beasley, the clerk who was shot, says it was around 10:30 on that Friday night. She was about a half hour from closing when a man she thought was a customer, came right into the convenience store, and put a gun right to her face.

Lorena was the only one in the store at the time. She says she did exactly what the robber demanded, giving him all the money in the register.

After that he aimed at her head and fired off four rounds. Two of the rounds went into her arm that she used to shield her face. Two more went into her right leg. She describes her attacker as a black male, wearing a hooded shirt with a stocking over his head.

With her attacker still on the loose, Lorena said, "Someone out there knows and this person is still out there. If he did it to me he'll do it to someone else, his words were to me 'I'm a kill you' and that's what his intention was. He didn't know if he killed me or not."

Anyone with information on this shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 355-8477. Anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest in the case could receive a $1,000 reward. All callers can remain anonymous.

Lorena said she actually laid on the ground pretending like she was dead after she was shot, hoping the robber would believe she was dead. He fled the store. Her hope is that someone out there provides police with information that could lead to his arrest.
