YAZOO CITY, MS (WLBT) - WLBT News has learned a civil lawsuit has been filed against a former Manchester Academy coach and the school by former students.

The civil lawsuit claims Richard Darden had a secret room where he engaged in voyeurism to watch minor boys in the nude while showering and changing clothing. That he administered inappropriate and unlicensed physical exams at this residence and at the offices of the Yazoo City Medical Clinic and other places.

It also says Darden threatened to suspend or punish male students unless they endured private paddlings at his house. Darden reportedly checked himself into a treatment facility.

His attorney Cynthia Stewart did not return our calls -- nor did Yazoo County Sheriff Tommy Vaughn.  It remains unclear where Darden is.  He is facing 3 counts of voyeurism and 3 counts of child exploitation.
