Arrests made involving sex crimes against children

WARREN COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - A busy week in Warren County where deputies are dealing with sex crimes against children.

Arrests have been made in two incidents that occurred in the river city.

Eighteen year-old Anthony Lavert Terry of 110 Eva Street in Vicksburg and 17-year-old Jay-Zarr Pugh of Greenhill Drive, are now in jail for statutory rape of a child under the age of 14.

Sheriff Martin Pace says the incident took place in early April at Terry's home. When positive DNA results came back this week arrests warrants were issued.

Terry struggled with deputies as they tried to arrest him and one deputy fractured his hand. He's now on medical leave.

And 17-year-old John Graham has turned himself into the sheriff's department. He's in custody for the sexual battery of a 4 year-old-girl in Vicksburg. Graham lives in a mobile home park at 4407 Halls Ferry Road and the crime took place at another home in that neighborhood.

Sheriff Pace says Graham is not related to the victim.
