JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - A Mississippi candidate for U.S. Congress says higher spending and government expansion are greater threats than the Sept. 11 terror attacks.
Alan Nunnelee, a 15-year veteran of the state senate, is campaigning for the Republican nomination in Tuesday's primary and hopes to unseat U.S. Representative Travis Childers.
Fifty-one year old Nunnelee faces 40-year-old Angela McGlowan of Oxford, a political strategist and former FOX News analyst along with former Mayor of Eupora 53-year-old Henry Ross who also served as a state circuit judge.
