Possible drowning at Roosevelt State Park

SCOTT COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - Scott County authorities have confirmed a possible drowning at Roosevelt State Park in Morton.

Law enforcement and rescue personnel arrived on the scene around 3 p.m. Sunday. The search continued into the evening. The effort was called off after dark and teams will resume the search at 6 a.m. Monday morning. Rankin County EOC, Wildlife and Fisheries and Parks, Morton Police and Morton Fire were all on the scene as divers searched for the victim.

The identity of the victim has not been released.
