BRANDON, MS (WLBT) - The winner of the St. Jude Dream Home traveled to Mississippi Memorial Day to claim her prize.

Heather Rowe lives in Arkansas and saw the home for the first time Monday.

After a two-and-a-half hour drive, Heather Rowe, her husband Cory and their two small children were taken aback by the first sight of their new home.

"This is unbelievable," said Rowe while standing in the front yard of 601 Arbor Way.

The two-story house is located just a block away from the reservoir waters in the Arbor Landing subdivision in Brandon.

The 31-year-old mother of two from Lake Village Arkansas was selected the winner of the 2010 St. Jude Dream Home on Sunday.

"Right now my heart is beating a million times an hour.  It is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.  I mean just the detail.  You can almost feel the heart that went into building this," said the Dream Home winning-ticket holder.

Designer Brian Burkley of Deep South Custom Homes led the Rowes on a tour of the 3,850 square foot house.

Valued at $550,000, it has five bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms and a gourmet kitchen.

But the Laurel native and stay-at-home mom found her favorite spot in the house, the giant walk-in closet off the master bedroom and bath.

"This is my room.  I feel like Carrie Bradshaw," said Rowe.

The Mississippi State University graduate is not sure they will be relocating but said the new house is a blessing and a way to be closer to family in her hometown.

"We do have a business in Arkansas, so I'm not sure about moving here, but this is a halfway point between us and the grandparents," said Rowe.

Rowe and her husband Cory said they are grateful to have two healthy children and have been long time supporters of St. Jude.

"When I was in high school I wanted to be a physical therapist, and I wanted to work at St. Jude.  We will never forget why we have this home, and we will always continue to contribute to St. Jude.  It's the most worthwhile cause I can think of," said Rowe.

Rowe has contributed to the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway for several years.

This year she purchased five tickets.
