Vicksburg hotel burglary suspects arrested

VICKSBURG, MS (WLBT) - Vicksburg police arrest two suspects linked to numerous burglaries at Vicksburg hotels.

Around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, police spotted someone running across the Marriott Courtyard Hotel and jump into a Honda Civic.

The car fled at a high rate of speed, and a chase ensued.

The driver eventually headed east on Interstate 20.

22-year-old Thomas Caston lost control of the car at the Norrell Road Exit in Clinton.

He is charged with seven counts of auto burglary, felony eluding and vehicle theft.

His passenger, 18-year-old Jonathan Burns, also faces seven counts of auto burglary and vehicle theft.

Both suspects are from Jackson.

Police recovered numerous handheld electronic devices and keys to a stolen 2004 Ford Expedition.

Bond for Caston has been set at 250-thousand dollars and at 200-thousand dollars for Burns.
