LIMA, PERU (WLBT) - The Dutch government says an international arrest warrant has been issued for Joran Van der Sloot, a prime suspect who was twice arrested and released in the 2005 disappearance of Natalee Holloway.
Wednesday, Peruvian police said they're hunting for the man, who is now a prime suspect in the murder of a young woman in Lima May 30th.
Lima authorities said the suspect fled their country Monday, traveling by land to Chile.
The father of the 21-year old victim said Van der Sloot was the last person to be seen with Stephany Flores before her death.
Ricardo Flores said his daughter was killed in a hotel room that was spattered with blood, indicating a struggle.
The killing of Stephany Flores took place five years after Alabama teenager Holloway's disappearance.
No trace of Holloway's body was ever found.
