JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - A one of a kind exhibit is opening Saturday in Jackson.
As part of Natural Science Museum's newest exhibit, you'll find a life size model of the largest shark that ever lived.
The 60-foot figure of a Megalodon is designed so that you can walk around inside the two million year old fish.
The traveling exhibit also features shark teeth and other fossils. According to organizers, it's the only exhibit of its kind in the world.
"It's a spectacular exhibit. We've been wanting it for a long time. We were on a waiting list I think a couple of years, and finally, we've got it, and we want to show it off to the people of Mississippi," said George Phillips, paleontologist for the Museum of Natural Science.
The exhibit opens June 5th and remains open until January 9th.
Museum admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children. For more information, call the museum at (601) 354-7303.
