
HATTIESBURG, MS (WLBT) - A man accused of using a stun gun and handcuffs during sexual assaults has pleaded guilty to raping a 21-year-old Hattiesburg college student in July 2009.
A judge in Columbia will sentence 37-year-old James H. Crockett, of Chalmette, Louisiana, on June 25th following Friday's plea.
Crockett allegedly went on a crime spree through three states, using a stun gun and handcuffs during two sexual assaults. Authorities say he has a long criminal record, including convictions for burglary, grand larceny and escape.
