Murder suspect in custody

MADISON COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - The man wanted in connection to a deadly shooting in Madison County is in custody.

Sheriff Toby Trowbridge tells WLBT 26-year-old Willie Nelson turned himself into authorities around 9:30 Thursday night.

Nelson was wanted in the Wednesday night shooting death of 28-year-old Jeremy Harper. When deputies arrived at 162 Ramage Road they found Harper had been shot. He later died at the scene.

Nelson is scheduled for his initial court appearance next week.
