Pharmacy worker arrested for embezzlement

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - A Jackson pharmacy worker was arrested for embezzlement Tuesday.

52 year old Calvin David Jones was taken into custody on the job after a week long investigation by federal and state drug enforcement agents.

Jones works as a pharmacy technician at THS Pharmacy on Terry Road.

He is suspected of embezzling more than 66-thousand dosage units of Promethazine with Codeine over a year's time.

Jones was transported to the Hinds County Detention Center.

Bond is pending an initial court appearance.
