Lawrence County man dead after domestic disturbance

JEFFERSON DAVIS COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - An apparent domestic disturbance turns deadly Thursday in Jefferson Davis County.

Authorities responded to a call at 336 Young Road.

There, sheriffs' deputies found 34-year-old Charles Lewis of Lawrence County lying in the front yard with a fatal gunshot wound to his upper torso.

31-year-old Trence Dixon, Jr., of Prentiss was taken into custody.

Officials said charges are pending.
