Two hospitalized and one in custody after apartment shooting

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Two people are in the hospital and one person is in custody after Jackson police responded to an afternoon shooting Sunday.

It happened at the Horton Place Apartment complex located near the intersection of Briarwood and Horton Avenue.

Around 4:30, Horton Place residents say they heard multiple gunshots and a loud bang when the driver of a truck involved in the shooting ran the vehicle into the side of the apartment building. The unidentified gun shot victims received non life threatening injuries and were transported by ambulance to a local hospital.

JPD has not made any arrests.
